Education scores through an IQ-test

Postby mihapiha on Mon Jun 23, 2008 2:06 pm

Hi everyone!

I started doing an online IQ-test and got so interested in what I was doing, that I started surfing more information about it. I found all kind of cool information and I wanted to share some of it here because I want to know your response on that.

What I found was a list of IQ’s of some celebrities.
Check it out:

Bill Gates - IQ = 160
Dolph Lundgren - IQ = 160
Albert Einstein - IQ = 160
Quentin Tarantino - IQ = 160
Richard Nixon - IQ = 154
Sharon Stone - IQ = 145
Adolf Hitler - IQ = 141
Madonna - IQ = 140
Hilary Clinton - IQ = 140
Shakira - IQ = 140
Bill Clinton - IQ = 137
Arnold Schwarzenegger - IQ = 135
Al Gore - IQ = 134
Nicole Kidman - IQ = 132
Jodie Foster - IQ = 132
Britney Spears - IQ = 100
George W. Bush IQ = 91
Muhammad Ali - IQ = 87

Don’t you guy’s think that is by fare to low what George W. Bush scored!?

I took a few IQ tests. I usually scored about 115 to 129 (which according to the test is just shy of "gifted"). I find IQ tests to be too logic based. Not to say that logic is bad but our world doesn't run on logic alone. What's so great about being really really smart if you can't even understand "common" sense. It's one thing to be smart yourself but you have to understand how the world works to be truly smart.
"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."

"A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people." -Declaration of Independence

"Taking my gun away because I might shoot someone is like cutting my tongue out because I might yell `Fire!' in a crowded theater." - Peter Venetoklis

I also took some of those tests, jet I don’t believe they are too accurate. I actually don’t believe I am that smart as they point me. The lowest I’ve seen so far was about 125 the highest 147. I guess I average at those things at about 130 to 135. But like I said: I don’t believe that. It just doesn’t seem likely that I or somebody else be able to score that high without a college degree.

The logic base is what determines if your intelligence is high but not smart. What I believe is misinterpreted is that most people think a high IQ means that you are smart. That is not necessary! A high IQ means you know how to reason quickly and that you are able to understand new information very quickly.

I guess since that list shows Bill Gates as one of the smartest, it is very reasonable to believe that he is probably faster in developing and understanding then others. But he might not be too smart.

A very interesting question at that point: At what point are you smart? Which information seems so important that if you don’t know it, you can’t be categorized as smart?

But what do you think about the president scoreing under 100?!
