I found this reply on a site of a whack job that came to my blog. Is this what home schooling is all about? Just wondering.

When I mentioned to my almost 10y.o. son in the car, that a ‘prolife woman’ had been chosen as Veep candidate for ‘the white man president,’ (as he calls him) my son blurted out these memorable words:

“But that isn’t right. As a woman, her place is in the home, taking care of her husband and children, not running the country.”

Praise, GOD, the homeschooling lessons I’ve been teaching for two years ARE sinking in! Raising my children with what is now called a ‘White racially-conscious approach to Christendom’ - or, in olden days, ‘a Eurocentric tradition;’ and reading the Scriptures; (OT as well as NT!) and showing that free, White, Christian Males founded this country, is clearly to my son’s eternal advantage, when he comes of age to rule these benumbed minds. I am raising my son to be a kingly gentleman as Washington, Adams, et al. were; and as is his destiny as a White Christian. Clearly, it is what is needed….

I realize that not everyone teaches this crap to their children, but how many are?

There is no telling. Some kids get that kind of attitude while still going to public school too so I don't think home school is the real problem. The real problem is teaching children this crap. If this guy's views are to be believed then no candidate is fit to be president, which in all honesty is true. Obama should be picking the cotton, McCain should be whittling wood in a rocking chair, Biden should be next to McCain (best I can come up with since I don't know crap about him), and Palin should be making babies and dinner.

there are those who use the bible to forge a commitment to, and relationship with, God and to other humans---y'know--- hope, love, peace, stuff like that... and there are those who would beat people bloody with the thing--- ugh...

As a woman, obviously this pinches me the most. I just hope the young boy gets to see the real world soon enough, before the damage is too much. My parents taught me religion and showed me the real world too, they taught me to judge everything I am told critically but fairly and let me find my own footing. Parenting should not be about forcing your views on your innocent children because, chances are, the world they will live in will be different to your own and your not always going to be there for them.

When I saw the link from my blog I had to follow it and it from a white supremacist group. I read that reply and started choking on my coffee. After I thought about it, home schooling would be the perfect way to keep such crap thinking alive. Sad.
