I have my preferences and all, just like anyone else. I guess my biggest problem is with fat people who are lazy. It really doesn't matter. It's not like I'm going to reject someone for something because they are fat. And it's not as if I'm going to think of someone differently because they are fat. I have friends and people that I get along with great that are sickly fat. It's their body it's not my problem really, I don't have to deal with the physical and emotional pain of being fat. Just like gay people. I'd prefer them to not be gay but that doesn't mean I'm going to hate them because of their sexual orientation or treat them any different. Ok maybe a little when it comes to joke time. :P

I know I use strong words, that's because I like strong words.

i'll always love rup... it just brings that whole stereo type thing right back up---- lotsa big folk are formidable, not just coz of their size, but because of their accomplishments--- as long as we serve as buffoons, or joke targets, its all good--- i've been a big girl all my life--- but everythings big about me, big heart, big smile, big hands to help with ,big passions to love with, big home to share, big dogs to romp with, big mouth to make sure i dont get shit on---- the pain of being big has been thrust on me by folks who judge me on no other criteria, who think i'm deaf as they say, my god, how blahblahblah--- ignorant, self serving, non thinking comments whose sole aim is to buttress the mistaken belief i am somehow sub human , not quite worth time to get to know, lazy, stupid, ignorant, when i am none of the above--- before i got hurt, i worked 2 jobs, one 12 hour, slept for 6 on a couch on-site, and went into another 7 hr shift-- i was a respected teacher, respected team leader, respected part of a team that took care of folks in surgery at their most needy points, and treated all with the respect and dignity that ANY swingin dick deserves, just by virtue of being another human being---- i have no body issues (unless you count the standard just plain age related crap)--- like i said before, any pain i've had with body issues has been thrust upon me--- i've been happy, my lovers have been quite satisfied---- just feel bad to be reminded yet again of how i'll NEVER fit in, never belong, and never be judged by the content of my character, but by the size of my elastic waist jeans...

Don't feel bad, geez. I'm not trying to be mean. And it isn't an attack on fat people, just the fat and lazy. I know how you feel about being looked at like you're some kind of freak. Wear a gun on your hip and all the sudden people shield their children, talk under their breath, and walk the other direction. Sure I can take the firearm off my hip at any time but that's not the point. It's as much a part of me as my legs and arms. I don't feel like myself if I'm not armed. I'm not disputing their right to be concerned or to talk, just wish people had a little more decency.

I do have my own physical problems though. I'm not fat, I do have a bit of a belly but not that big (especially compared to the average American), but I do have psoriasis. It sucks. People point it out as if I don't know I have a big red patch on my arm. Thank you captain oblivious. I know how you feel. I hardly ever wear short sleeves because of it. Yea I could use cream but it always comes back.

I'm familiar with psoriasis. I don't have it, but I know people who do. They hate it when people look at them like they're lepers.

I'm just trying to make sure my words weren't misinterrupted. I have this habit of not expressing myself in the right way some times.

IMO being fat or thin or having a distuingishing feature is all is all a part of life and in a lot of cases we build it up in our own minds more than what others perceive it.

I'm a big bloke, but that's me and I revell in it. My best friend greet me on the phone with "G'day ya fat c***" They don't mean any thing cruel or nasty and I respond in kind with some dispariging remark to them.

It's all just a bit of fun between friends. I own a taxi company and in this business we seem to upset someone on a daily basis and their usual response to a reasoned response to a frivilous complaint is "get F***** ya fat bar*****" ( I live in a small town where everybobdy knows me)

When I go to the club for a drink these same people are friendly and usually buy me a drink because of their phone call and we have a laugh about it. It's just human nature to "have a go" at someones perceived weakness.

Enjoy the fact that you are different to the rest and even more importantly exploit it to your own advantage.
I don't think that any of us on this forum care very much about each others frailties, after all we're only type on a page. We can be what ever we portray ourselves as. (I'm a svelt 25 year old, it's just that my 6 pack has become a keg)

PS this link is about a great person who is also one of my cosest friends, phisically she has everything going against her but is one of the best people I know.

its different for a girl killer---- everyone LOVES a big guy, but a big girl gets no love---- as a matter of fact, its been referred to as a "fetish" if you love big women--- like you gotta have a perverse bent or sumpthin-----ugh---- people wont look you in the eye, but i force them to make contact with me on a human level like it or not!!! and trust me, usually they dont...it sounds as tho love follows you--- man , thats a beautiful thing---- i personally love big guys---- thin guys, short guys, tall guys--- there's sumpthin there for everyone--- but big ones are my fave--- i love looking up to someone, both literally and figuratively--- i do love the fact i'm me, and in my little world, i'm just perfect...
