Unknown Musician In Limelight After Portraying OBAMA in Vid

Postby raymondstclaire on Thu Sep 04, 2008 12:05 am

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (PRWEB) August 3, 2008 – A virtually unknown music artist JK Citizen is gaining national exposure with his internet video release for his smash hit song “ROCK THE VOTE AMERICA” in which he plays the role of Presidental Nominee Barack Obama.

Hailing from Southern Florida, JK Citizen has captured the hearts and minds of mainstream America by reflecting the temper of the times in this electric political season.

After the much and sudden radio airplay for the song all across the nation, Citizen has found himself in the limelight both after his song has gained notoriety amongst Obama campaigners and after playing the role of Presidential Nominee Barack Obama in the recent video release.

Accompanied by the Presidents on Mount Rushmore singing the chorus in unison, JK Citizen delivers the message with clarity and patriotism to his now ever expanding fan base.

“I wrote the song because I was so inspired that we might finally see change in this country and because the citizens of this nation feel that hope is truly alive. I never realized that so many people would like it and that it would be embraced by the political powers that be. Its like a dream…Only In America” he was quoted as saying.

Some democratic insiders are pushing for the song to become the theme for Obama’s Presidential race, after hearing the lyrics that seem to capture the overall mood of the nation. It is expected to be used on the democratic campaign trail and to increase the young vote on Obama’s behalf.

The video can be seen on just about every internet search engine or at:

One young man writes a song for Obama and he gets media attention. Thousands of young people attend a Ron Paul rally rivaling the RNC and it doesn't even get a foot note. The man seeking real change gets no attention and the man folding to the political elite gets all the cameras.

I'd venture to say that Ron Paul fanatics could light themselves ablaze and still wouldn't get 15 minutes of fame while the media interviews Obama supporters sitting at home eating cheetos.

No control over the way the media reacted...

I do believe that JK Citizen, the man who got all the attention got it because
he wrote a song that people embraced.

I don't believe he personally had any
control over the way the media reacted.

I passed this press release on because I heard the song and watched the video
and I must say...JK Citizen has captured the mood of the nation...

Kudos to him for carrying on with his dreams and well as far as the media...
well we all know that story....

I don't blame the young man for his views, his personal liberty is not within my issue. More power to him for supporting his candidate. The issue I take offense with is the one in which a single young man for one candidate garners more media coverage than a multitude of young men for another candidate.

Re: OVER 57, 000 VIEW “OBAMA” ROCK THE VOTE AMERICA by JK CITIZE

Postby raymondstclaire on Fri Oct 24, 2008 4:12 pm

Miami (PRWEB) Oct 24, 2008 – After several weeks and over 57, 000 views on YouTube, JK Citizen’s “Rock The Vote America” has caught on internationally. A search on Google brought us to over 3,900 postings.
The US, Europe, Asia, and even Sri Lanka. So just who is JK Citizen?

The Miami based Hip Roc artist was first launched onto the scene after
his video debut in September. It was a simple idea. Write a song. Make a video. Post it on YouTube and a few other video websites. Get young people to vote. So what could go wrong (or right)?

JK found himself in the limelight and surrounded by debate after what some have perceived as his portrayal of Presidential Nominee Barack Obama and the newest accusations that this is an attempt to swing the vote Obama’s way. Some political insiders say that the coined “silent song” can have significant influence over the amount of young voters.

In a recent telephone interview JK Citizen responded
“ I wrote the song to get young people to vote and not to portray either candidate but obviously the color of my skin has something to do with it.

If Senator McCain was my skin color, then we wouldn’t be having this discussion. If you listen to the lyrics it’s all about making a change and the power of rocking your vote.

Most important of all, it’s about letting both candidates know that no matter who gets elected, that its time for change and that they have to make it right Mr. President.”

In the midst of overwhelming controversy as well as support JK is keeping a positive attitude and an unbiased opinion. He is currently performing several shows all to raise voting awareness and voter registration.

When asked about how all this is turning out JK said “It’s all about turning a negative into a positive and remembering all the people who understand this is our world and our future. Stand up and vote America. Lead by example and be proud to set a great example for the rest of the world.”

JK Citizen’s “Rock The Vote America” can be found everywhere on the net
