I don't know what the "usual" American thinks about politics but I know what I think. I'm 22 and I care a lot about politics, but my level of interest goes beyond the current candidates and what they are talking about. I'm interested in what they aren't talking about and how it affects me. And the campaigns don't mean crap to me. My mind is all on the issues, not images.

By the way all the candidates suck this year (same as last election). I think I'm just going to throw my vote away. What's the point of a vote when you have to choose between evils instead of choosing a candidate you can believe in?

Thank you for your reply i support your opinion, your politicians are like holywood stars their campains are like movies.
And that for example robert de niro "backs" obama or chuck norris the republicans is very dubios. But the wolrd welcomes the "chance to change"
the democrats are not the best but better than the 43rd president :) like obama says you are the UNITED states of america and everybody is equal and has the right to vote for what they like to vote for.

unfortunately the media makes the circus, and in such a high profile election its hard not to be the darling----the shame of it is the talent seems to be short as rupchuk pointed out---theres stellar talent out there, but not in there---not to detract from the good folks that are in there fightin the good fight----i just dont feel as tho any of them are what we need---to me, even tho the chant is change, its all more of the same ---status quo---they yap about all they could do---well schitt---they're in no small power now-----why dont they do it now?

That is a good point. The three major players right now are all senators, what have they done for change thus far?

If there was an option to say, "My knowledge is a little above usual", I would have answered that, but I answered just plain "my knowledge is usual".
