A typical story, nothing is changing.

When they came home from Iraq, 2,600 members of the Minnesota National Guard had been deployed longer than any other ground combat unit.

The tour lasted 22 months and had been extended as part of President Bush's surge.

And 1st Lt. Jon Anderson says he never expected to come home to this: A government refusing to pay education benefits he says he should have earned under the GI bill.

Wow. And to deny them benefits on top of that is ridiculous.

If this story is anything like past stories it won't see much coverage.

And there lies my confusion. With all the Support the Troops chest thumping, why is this not a bigger deal to the American people? If this is their saupport then I say screw 'em bring the troops home.

Support the troop is a catch phrase CHUQ. They say it but they don't do much more. It's mostly lip service. They buy a ribbon or a bumper sticker and life goes on.

I agree, it is total BS. I want to send a question for the YouTube debates and ask if they support the troops why are they not more vocal on the treatment they receive when they return? And what will they do to prevent this from happen ever again?
