Sorry, I do not see it! I see a lawyer who will say anything to win his "case".


Here in the birthplace of the author of "Pollyanna" and the home of the "World's Longest Candy Counter," a middle-aged woman asked John Edwards the kind of cream-filled questions that would give any presidential candidate a sugar rush. What "personal characteristic," she asked, distinguishes you from your Democratic rivals?

In response to a similar question, Hillary Clinton probably would have stressed her experience and her commitment to "change," the poll-tested buzzword of this election. Barack Obama almost certainly would have waxed inspirational and talked about how cynics in Washington dismiss him as a "hope-monger." But for Edwards, it all came down to sincerity.

Funny how that works! Looks like if you want experience, you get manipulative and so on. Amazing we seldom get the type of person we vote for, huh? That should speak volumes about elections.

I will say that the American voter is short changing themselves by not pay attention ot Paul or Kucinich, at least two are not afraid to be confrontational. they may be the best two in the running.

If it is not face to face, it is not an attack. It is the cowardly way out. At least someone is trying to challenge Clinton.


PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire (Reuters) - U.S. Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on Wednesday mocked rival Hillary Clinton's position on the Iraq war as Clinton stretched her lead in the party's campaign race.

Edwards, a former North Carolina senator, attacked Clinton for refusing to rule out that U.S. troops might continue to engage in some combat missions in Iraq if she were to win the presidency in the November 2008 election.

"If you're not ending combat missions and combat operations, you're not ending the war," Edwards said in an afternoon speech in New Hampshire.

To me, he flaps his jaws but he does not look sincere or committed to what he is saying.

At least Edwards is taking my advice on attacking.

I hope you are right, but we will know for sure after Iowa and NH. He may last longer for he will start receiving public funds, but I do not see him making it to the convention.

His lead in Iowa is gone! Clinton has gained the upper hand, at least in the polls. we will have to see how accurate the polls are in Jan 08.
