Wait! Wait! These weapons have been misplaced, right? And since it is the weaponns that most insurgents use, the AK47 and such; could the weapons that the US says comes from Iran be these weapons in reality?

The Pentagon has lost track of about 190,000 AK-47 assault rifles and pistols given to Iraqi security forces in 2004 and 2005, according to a new government report, raising fears that some of those weapons have fallen into the hands of insurgents fighting U.S. forces in Iraq.

The author of the report from the Government Accountability Office says U.S. military officials do not know what happened to 30 percent of the weapons the United States distributed to Iraqi forces from 2004 through early this year as part of an effort to train and equip the troops. The highest previous estimate of unaccounted-for weapons was 14,000, in a report issued last year by the inspector general for Iraq reconstruction.

OK, no comment hiuh? Ok who did we buy the Aks from? And if the missing weapons are being used against the US troops, why is so much emphasis on the Iran supplying the weapons?

I'd say it was more of building a case againt Iran than it was concern about where they came from.

So is it possible thast some of the Iranian weapons were are boasting about could actually be our own purchases? In other words, lies--again!

Surely by now they must have found insurgents in possession of these weapons. They are keeping that fact under wraps pretty good though.

Like I say, the insurgents are using them and they come from Iran. I could turn this into a conspiracy if I try a little. lol
