This judge sounds a bit odd. Laughing

Quote:
A Painesville, Ohio, judge known for dishing out quirky sentences is making no bones about what he sees as a fowl crime.

Municipal Judge Michael Cicconetti has ordered three men accused of soliciting prostitutes to wear chicken suits in lieu of a 30-day prison sentence, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The alleged johns will also have to carry a sign saying, “No Chicken Ranch in Painesville,” a jab at the “World Famous Chicken Ranch” whorehouse in Nevada, the reported.

"We're trying to send a strong message that we won't tolerate this activity in the city," said Painesville probation supervisor David Washlock told the Chronicle.

Not sure how I missed this the first time around. Great title!

This is a funny story, but does a judge have the power to force someone to espouse a particular political view?

Prostitutes in chicken costumes might not necessarily stop prostitution, but attract people into some weird and kinky stuff...hahaha

What a monumental waste of time and resources. These types of stories do othing but piss me off. Sorry!

In my town we had a judge, "Hang em high Whitfield", who was not ashamed to make drug users stand on corners with signs as part of their punishment. that included prostitutes and other similar crimes. But it seems he was in the pocket of a bunch of developers and he was convicted of racketeering, bribes, the like. I wrote an article saying that part of his punishment should be to stand on a busy corner with a sign detailing his crimes. Did not happen, but I tried!
