You do realize that what Wright said, that the 'clips' the media showed of Wright's 'speech' was actually him quoting an American ambassador? To be exact, he was quoting Edward Peck, US ambassador to Iraq who was the one who said 'the chickens have come too roost'?

But that whole portion of his speech, was edited out by the media in order to make the words appear to be soley Wright's?

See, that's the problem with people that take what the media says at face value, rather then looking at the WHOLE picture. They go about perpetuating the myths of 'what the media says they said' rather then finding out what was actually said.

And HERE's what was actually said in regards to the 'God damn America' portion of his speech...In it's entirety, you can clearly see that he wasn't saying what the media presented it as...

“When it came to putting the citizens of African descent fairly, America failed. She put them in chains. The government put them on slave quarters. Put them on auction blocks. Put them in cotton fields. Put them in inferior schools. Put them in substandard housing. Put them scientific experiments. Put them in the lower paying jobs. Put them outside the equal protection of the law. Kept them out of their racist bastions of higher education, and locked them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness.”

The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three strike law and then wants us to sing God Bless America. Naw, naw, naw. Not God Bless America. God Damn America! That’s in the Bible. For killing innocent people. God Damn America for treating us citizens as less than human. God Damn America as long as she tries to act like she is God and she is Supreme.

“The United States government has failed the vast majority of her citizens of African descent. Think about this. Think about this. For every one Oprah, a billionaire, you’ve got 5 million blacks that are out of work. For every one Colin Powell, a millionaire, you’ve got 10 million blacks who cannot read. For every one Condi-Skeezer Rice, you’ve got 1 million in prison. For every one Tiger Woods, who needs to get beat at the Masters, with his Cablanasian hips, playing on a course that discriminates against women, God has this way of brining you up short when you get to big for your Cablanasian britches. For every one Tiger Woods, we’ve got 10,000 black kids who will never see a golf course. The United States government has failed the vast majority of her citizens of African descent.”

Tell your neighbor he’s (going to) help us one last time. Turn back and say forgive him for the God Damn, that’s in the Bible though. Blessings and curses is in the Bible. It’s in the Bible.

“Where government fail, God never fails. When God says it, it’s done. God never fails. When God wills it, you better get out the way, cause God never fails. When God fixes it, oh believe me it’s fixed. God never fails. Somebody right now, you think you can’t make it, but I want you to know that you are more than a conqueror through Christ. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”

And this was investigated by Roland Martin...CNN contributor for the Anderson Cooper 360 Show.

The two links I'm providing is from his investigation and provides the whole speeches that the media only showed blips of.

I get it now the cops are driving around handing people crack to sell and its the governments fault that women have 10 babies to get big welfare checks. I suppose Wright is poor too? Whatever happened to personal responsibility? It's always going to be someone else's fault. "I was born poor so I decided to just sit around, drink alcohol, and smoke crack". No matter how much of it they aired he still said the same thing out of his mouth. Or is that exaggerating too?

I answered your 'question' with your loaded and exaggerated innuendos about Obama's early childhood quite clearly.

Like I said...I'd perfer it if individuals such as yourself would stick to the truth of situations rather then exaggerate and enlarge on those situations with false innuendos and misinformation in order to promote fear and gossip.

Well, thankyou ma'am.

I'm just fed up with the disinformation and lies that are being said by anti obama posters. Wait!!!! that aptly describes The Bush Administration, disinformation and lies.

Evilpoptart should be posting information about what a great job McCain is going to do, telling us about his strong points and his good policies but instead only posts lies and disinformtion about the opposing candidate. EPT can't have much confidence in his choice of candidate to only run a negative campaign.

Is that all you can come up with is an insult? Who was addressing you? When I need any lip off you I'll pick it off my zipper. This is not a politics forum. This is an "I love Obama forum". I can't help that your candidate has a history of hanging out with racist people and Hamas supporters. I asked a question and it was answered. I'm anti-Obama because I see someone with "NO" experience trying to blow a lot of smoke up the peoples rear. I find it real funny that he wants to pull out of Iraq while we are seeing progress. Complains about how we are viewed throughout the Muslim world and then says he will attack terrorist in any country with or without that countries permission. LMAO! How do you think we would be viewed after that? What I see is a guy the wants to go back to the day before 9/11 and pickup where we left off. What I see is guy who wants to cater to the worst dictators and the worst supporters of state sponsored terrorism. What I see is a guy thats wants to give us more fail social services like welfare. Yes! It makes me curious about Obama's life before politics. Think about that the next time your taking it "up" the other end of your body!

Why? Everybody knows John McCain as opposed to Obama. Hows this? Obama is a coward and John McCain is a war hero.

I'm not that crazy about John McCain either. He's just the lesser of 2 evils. It really doesn't bother me that much if Obama wins. I know he won't be able to do anything. It will be payback time for the Republicans. All the filibusters the Democrats pulled are just going to come back and bite them. It's already started http://www.vbdems.org/?p=1462 .. Now look at Jim Webbs commenting on how tired Americans are of this kind of politics. Where was he when the Dems started it and did this throughout Bush's entire presidency. Now all of a sudden Americans are tired of it. To funny!

FYI you should read this link. http://blogs.smh.com.au/whitehouse08/ar ... onomy.html

It gives an unbiased account of both sides economic policies written by an outsider who has no axe to grind.

You can even comment on it if you want, I'm sure the author would enjoy your complete grasp of things and your cutting repatee

That gives a fascinating insight into you political thinking.

Firstly, where did you get the "Obama is a coward" from?? I haven't seen anything, even from the disinformation camp claiming this statement before.

Secondly McCain does have an exemplary war record. When did being a war hero qualify someone to be a world leader? If anything I think it is a disadvantage. Most heroes that I have read about say their actions were immediate and without thought. I'm not sure that that type of person is the one that I want with his finger on the red button. I would prefer someone with sound reasoning and a healthy amount of fear and responsibility making those decisions.

He's a coward for wanting to back out of Iraq no matter what the situation. He's a coward for not going over and meeting with our troops. He's a coward for not meeting with our commanders on the ground. He's a coward because thats my opinion of him. You know, you do have a mind of your own if you choose to use it.

I want a president that will act when its necessary. Obama has no other thought process but retreat. Going into Iraq was a mistake. It's our moral duty to make things right there. Pulling out of there and leaving them vulnerable is not moral. Everything that is going on in Iraq with the troop surge is what McCain had been calling for all along while going against Bush's policy. It's going much better and Obama won't even take another look at the situation? He would rather see sacrifices in vain.

I'm not looking for a world leader. I'm looking for a leader for my country. I want a leader thats leading the charge and not the retreat.

I don't do disinformation camps or at least I try not to. It's getting real hard to tell. It makes us look stupid when we get bad info. I most definitely don't get my info from blogs of any sort. Everyone has an opinion on the economy.

the "blog" in question is in The Sydney Morning Herald one of Australias most respected newspapers and written by one of that papers senior political journalists.
It is not a blog in the normal sense but an article written so that readers can contribute. Sort of like a Democracy.

Oh and by the way, I prefer a leader who doesn't need to make the charge because he has intelligently thought through the problem and has come to a reasoned diplomatic result. Saves a lot of wasted life.

I prefer things to be done diplomatically but when they can't be you need a leader with a strong back bone. You act as if its always an option and the only option. Thats naive! 10 years of diplomacy with Saddam didn't work did it? It's not working with Iran either. It didn't work with the Taliban. It did work in North Korea. Every situation is different. 10 years of diplomacy in Iraq was a lot of wasted time.

Why would I give a damn about a newspaper in Australia? Here is a respected paper in the U.S. with a totally different opinion. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar ... 1007/rss07 .. Opinions are like a**holes on this subject. Everybody has one. As i said earlier a foreign newspapers opinion carries no credibility with me. I've learned that newspapers in other countries have their own agenda. How do you know that article is credible? Because you say it is? You can see the bias all through the article you posted. First of all it paints an excessively grim picture. For instance Wal-Mart is not running out of things on their shelves. Your not here to know that though are you?
