McCain/Clinton Win Florida Primary

Postby CHUQ on Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:48 am

McCain wins by 5% over Romney. Rudy finishes in a distant 3rd and will most likely endorse McCain at the debate and drop out of the race.

Clinton wins but what did she win? No campaigning, there are no delegates and it was only a hoto-op. She can claim a win that meant nothing, but it will get her headlines and that is the point.

Good post Chuq

The Hillary win depends on how the media allows her to spin it. She will certainly try to spin it as a big win for her - but I really don't think the media will go along. No campaigning in Florida, they all signed a pact to that effect. It could get interesting if there is a delegate fight at the convention and the Clintons try to get it to count.

Republicans - If you asked me 6 months ago about my preference for President - my answer was a solid: Rudy. Today - if given a choice of McCain or Mitt - I choose McCain. McCain is in a strong position for next week and I hope the party nominates him as I've never been a Romney fan.

This is where I'm at today:

McCain v. Hillary: McCain
McCain v. Obama: Obama

McCain was the big surprise, and Rudy dropping out was sort of ironic considering all the hype about his entering the race.

Thanx, I have been voting for about a ba-zillion years, yes I am an old fart and never have I voted Republican, but if it is McCain/Clinton, I am considering McCain. Yes, that scares me...lol

If it's McCain/Clinton, I'll vote McCain FOR SURE.

If it's McCain/Obama, I'll vote for Obama.

If it's Mitt vs. Clinton or Obama, I'll Choose Clinton or Obama in a heartbeat.

If it's Huckabee vs. ANYONE ELSE, I'll choose ANYONE ELSE in a heartbeat.
