I still say Obama is the electable one of the two.

For a couple of reasons -

Looks like my side is going to nominate McCain - Mr. Moderate.
Hillary's negatives are so high - she will unite the GoP behind McCain.
Obama's message is resonating - its optimistic and people believe that this election is about America - not about Obama. We can't say that about Hillary and Bill.

They are both electable. All we have seen so far are just a few states who have voted in this circus.

I thnk the Republicans are holding their nose while supporting McCain.

Obama I believe is truly for the people and a better America. Everyone says they want change and for their to be voices to be heard. Well Heres the man whos going to lead and do that. trust in Obama, hes our next heroic savior.

Also I dont know if I mentioned this to you guys, but theres a cool Political pundit site, you can join. send in videos of your political views thoughts and stories, and you can do it however you wnat, musically, cartoons, short films, documentaries, parodies, anything its a free for all, look it at it, It might be good for you major political fanatics.

That is about all we get from all politicians--promises and yet nothing changes.

I may wrong but my understanding is that Obama wants an independant Palestinian state and all foriegn troops out of Iraq.

This seems to be the sensible as well as the fair and equitable way to go. It would also go a long way to solving Americas current economic woes and help to steer the Worls economies away from the recession that that the rest of the worlds finance ministers are predicting.

From an outsiders (Australian) point of view a peaceful Middle East and an end to the impending Recession in America woulod be a great result.
Hopefully this wont lead to an increase in terrorism but as most of the terrorist acts stem from the occupation of Iraq, logically it should decrease them.

Hi killer, the Palestinian thing is just a stump speech. Peace in that area is up to Pal and Jews, only. If they do not want it, then all the promises in the world will not achieve it. Iraq? There is a question to ponder. Obama may bring some troops out, but he will keep some there so we will have a presence there for many years. My fear.

The recession is yet another story with no adequate solution. IMO, no candidate has a good solution, neither party.

You are right but the techniques Clinton is using is the DLC plan, which is little more than a GOP plan. As far as being more electable, Obama offers change and hope, but will it play in economicly strapped states where Clinton and her vague offers of help the economy are much needed.

I think he could win blue collar workes if he lays out a more detailed economic plan. Then again, he is a politician so i doubt either side will risk losing votes by having a concrete plan we can analyze before we elect them

Good observation. I have been bitching about this on my blog. I want specifics, I mean hell I can come up with some vague BS to save the economy.

I think to a large extent Obama will formulate more of his message if he becomes the nominee - in fact it will be expected, the media and then the public will demand it. In my opinion i think he has laid out a pretty decent plan - but we will see more meat as the year goes on.

Two different contests this year Dem v Dem then Dem v Repub- we are still not seeing major policy differences between Clinton and Obama, we will later in the year when the nominee is against McCain.

I do think Obama's ability to inspire will be a big boost come november.

Unfortunately for Obama, blue collar workers want to know how he will help them keep their jobs instead of being inspired by calls for change.

I have always loved the call for tax cuts to create jobs......how has that worked out recently? I believe that consumer demand creates jobs...it there is no demand there will be few jobs. Pretty simple.

The same could be asked in the reverse -

How would raising taxes create private sector jobs?
