Not until attitudes change. If both sides are still seeking revenge instead of a long-term peaceful solution then they'll continue like this until one side is wiped out.

The Palestinians seem to be influenced by the extremists who convince them that it's in their best interest to become suicide bombers and terrorists. The Israelis are forced to protect themselves. They've been having smaller 9/11s forever. What would America have done? We decimated the Indian populations, then confined them to "reservations". Why did the "white man" believe this was justified? Because if they didn't believe in jesus, they were soulless savages who needed to be "saved". The more the Indians resisted, the more justification for wiping them out and further confining them.

The common thread here is fanatic belief in a specific god. It's a viscious circle that's never going to end.
To the Indian's credit, I think they just wanted to be left alone and had no intent to force their god down anybody elses throat.

We forget our own tainted history as we pass judgement on Israel and the Palestinians. If any other Arab country gave a damn, they'd spend some oil money on giving them a homeland, but then they'd lose that justification for warring on israel and hating jews. Then if they lost that rallying cause, they'd lose some of the religious control over their people they've so carefully nurtured for centuries.

Belief in specific gods has caused more death and suffering on this planet than any other cause. Even different factions of the same religion hate and kill eachother: catholics-protestants, sunnis-shiites, different jewish sects, different hindu sects.
Not one is any better than the other.

I believe that our entities (souls if you prefer) are everlasting and that we are all connected somehow. What matters is what's in your heart and how you treat your fellow man. If there really is a god who want's to condemn me to "hell" because I refuse to profess belief then I guess he/she isn't as kind, benevolent and forgiving as the good books claim.

As long as people refer to themselves as christian or muslim or black or white instead of just "human", then the hating and killing will go on.

There are some aspects you have to consider. First Israel is militarily one of the strongest nations in the world having over 200 nuclear warheads. I don’t think that is too much comforting if you have that kind of a neighbor and your military sucks. Secondly the Palestinians are not allowed to have weapons or visit any kind of military training, so they can’t fight back. Israel is using highly equipped and trained military to constantly bomb some neighborhoods in Gaza, and the Palestinians replay to the only way they can. They try to fight back. Since they are not allowed weapon or military training the only thing left is a civilian attack or terrorist attack (as which ever one you see it). I think the only way of peace in that area can only come from the superior Israelis. If they really stopped bombing civilian targets and gave the Palestinians the same rights as their people, it would most likely come to an end in a couple of years.

I will pick out the Bosnia problem since it’s practically a neighbor of mine and I think my point of view represents most people in Bosnia, since I have many friends in that country. Bosnia particularly has a problem within. It has three groups that are not separated: First the Muslim Bosnians, secondly the catholic Croatians (or Bosnians) thirdly the Muslim Serbians. Their capital city is still under UN control, and those tree areas conflicted with one and other. The Serbian minority was kicked now for pretty much 16 years. First the Balkan war for 4 years, then the Kosovo war, then Monte Negro split from Serbia and now Kosovo wants to split from them. The people feel like they don’t have a friend in the world. Now they are completely down, and the world turns on them by letting a part of their country split from them against their will. The Serbian minority in Bosnia witnesses that, and they are even worse of.
I’ll give you some facts to compare: GDP Bosnia = 3.700 USD putting them just ahead of Azerbaijan; GDP Serbia = 5.600 USD; GDP Croatia =11.600; GDP USA = 45.600 (that’s per capita)
The Muslim Bosnian minority as you see from that GDP list is far away from wealthy. They have been kicked down for 4 years by the Serbians and then another 2 years by the Croatians. Their economy is on the ground and the corruption within the country is catastrophic. The catholic Bosnians (or Croatians) are very faithful since the Muslim Serbians tried to forbid them to practice their religion during the 4 year of the war period. The Serbians destroyed during that time most the churches they came across.

These three groups are still not working together and like I said the government is very corrupted. The GDP is one of the worst in Europe and their neighbors refuse to work with them properly. They also lack a lot of money since the country was destroyed during the war. The help of foreign countries is insufficient since the more powerful neighbors kick the Bosnians around.
