Obama will not save America. Only a more conservative and constitutional approach can save America.

More conservative than Obama or more conservative than the current administration? I have some trouble envisioning the latter...

More conservative than the current administration. Bush and his cronies are not conservative. Spending billions on a war of aggression is not conservative. Conservatives want to tax less and spend less, liberals more.

I guess our views on "conservative" differ slightly. Fiscal conservatism is one thing, religious conservatism is another. Seems to me that the fiscal conservatism tends to get thrown out the window where perceived national defense is at stake.

Obama doesn't talk about lowering taxes or reforming spending, so he isn't going to change anything. Maybe he's talking about change on foreign policy? That's great but how does that help the Americans in America? I want to be able to get a job and take care of my family. And more government involvement (which equates to more taxes as well) is not the solution it's the problem.

I don't disagree at all. We need to curb our spending and we need to spend wisely; something that the self-proclaimed conservatives haven't been doing very well IMO.

Problem is (IMO) that anyone who's been on the hill for any length of time sees spending and taxes as a way of life. Maybe we should throw them all out and start over.

I'm with Crystal. A second American revolution sounds good to me. We just have to make sure that we do it right, sort of the like the first one. If we don't have a full blown revolution then at least we need to have a budget reform that limits spending and taxes.

revolution!!??---good luck with THAT!---we need an E-volution! we need good people who arent afraid to either stand up OR do the RIGHT thing-----the way money crosses palms in the beltway, only the special interests with the slipperiest grease get to be heard---what about The Peoples voice?? I dont think that counts for a whole lot these days...with all the doublesupersecret machinations of this administration, i think this is more than timely ....and telling... "We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people."
