DailyKos post-debate poll.

Postby Wolf on Wed Aug 08, 2007 7:29 am

Here's how last night's presidential debate broke down among Kos voters:

Obama came in at number one, followed by Edwards, Kucinich and Clinton. Which is pretty amazing, that people put Dennis ahead of Hillary. I guess that's what happens when you have Keith Olbermann moderating. The usually ignored or dismissed candidates get more or less equal time.

I saw the debate but I also say a stuttering Obaba trying to chose his words carefully. He doesn't do so great when he doesn't have cue cards.IMO.

He also ducked the question of whether he would have Bonds as a guest at the Whitehouse because of his milestone. I don't feel he won the debate. He got a free pass from this group.

I also made up my mind about Edwards. I don't like his style. How effective could he be as an advocate for union workers when he wasn't very effective in his own state advocating for organized labor?

Photo-ops with with union workers isn't enough to convince me he would live up to his claimes of being able to push union agenda on a national level.

I didn't see a clear winner of the debate. The highlight I liked the best was Gavel wasn't there.

I thought Kucinich did pretty well.

No way did Obama do as well as this poll suggests. Richardon did a hell of a lot better also. Biden did fair, better than 3%.

Clinton was kind of flat for some reason.

DailyKos isn't a great indicator of how the rest of the country rated the debate. IMO.

on edit: Obama was on his home turf too.

I agree that Obama didn't even come close to winning the debate. No real "winner" here. But it was pretty interesting.

O covewred this in my blog, but IMO I liked Kucicich more than any of the others. But I choose people by the way they answer questions. If they show me passion and conviction, they get my vote.

Edwards all the way! But I could see how Clinton would get bumbed down after getting bo'd by the people. She said that she was going to continue taking money from lobbyists because they represent "real people," but then said she wasn't going to listen to them. Basically, "I'm not listening to the real people." hahaha That was just the worst thing I've ever heard. Haha
