The surge is working! There are a lot of poeple that are saying this now, but how many take in consideration the Iraqi ppl? NONE! They are desparately searching for some good news they can use for the continuation of the sh*t.

The scale of the human disaster in the Iraq war has become clearer from statistics collected by two humanitarian groups that reveal the number of Iraqis who have fled the fighting has more than doubled since the US military build-up began in February.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Organisation said the total number of internally displaced has jumped from 499,000 to 1.1 million since extra US forces arrived with the aim of making the country more secure. The UN-run International Organisation for Migration says the numbers fleeing fighting in Baghdad grew by a factor of 20 in the same period.

The only place the surge is working is Washington. Events on the ground in Iraq prove differently.

In the headlines seems to be the only progress. But I will agree what is progress for some is nothing but failure to others. Why? They have not given specifics. It is like the WOT, generalitiies lets you claim anything as a success, but with specfics it is precise what is a success. This ,makes it easier to spin the stories.

That's all it is, spin. The Iraqi civilian death toll is up, the infrastructure is basically useless, Basra is about to fall to militias, and the government is in freefall.

I find it deplorable that the US can say it is a success and the Iraqi ppl are suffering more now than under Saddam. But then it is about what the US wants. Never was about the Iraqi ppl.

Maybe this progress they keep referring to is part of a plan to relocate half the country.. The population is going back to being a country of nomads.
