looks like we are not the only country that does dastardly things to people in the name of science. And yet we condemn them all!


LONDON - British military scientists tested mustard gas on hundreds of Indian soldiers during more than a decade of experiments that began before World War II, a British newspaper reported Saturday.

The experiments to determine whether mustard gas damaged Indians' skin more than British soldiers' began in the early 1930s and lasted more than 10 years at a military site in Rawalpindi, now in Pakistan, The Guardian reported, citing newly discovered National Archive documents.

The tests caused large numbers of burns, some of which were so damaging the subjects had to be hospitalized, a 1942 report cited by the newspaper said.


STORY

Some of these tests were pretty damn stupid.

But yet that Nazi doctor was condemned for his experiments on humans. I do not see much difference.

The only difference is who did the killing. It's a double standard.

If the truth were known the number would be much higher than that. IMO.

Stories like this one and others just reinforces my belief that troops are just tools to be used and when broken, disgard and buy new ones.

The ironic part is that they know what they did to these troops, yet they deny it ever took place so they don't have to help them.

Sounds like a very familiar scenario.

They must have been some slow learning scientists. 10 years is a long time to figure that one out.
