Rudy Warns Iran

Postby CHUQ on Thu Sep 20, 2007 4:25 am

He is in Europe--raising campaign funds? Or trying to look more presidential? Anyway he has issued a warning to Iran.

WASHINGTON -- -- Republican presidential candidate Rudolph W. Giuliani said Wednesday that if Iran got close to building a nuclear weapon, "we will prevent them or we'll set them back five or 10 years."

"That is not said as a threat," Giuliani said during a visit to London. "That should be said as a promise."

Giuliani's remarks fit his broader effort to project himself as the toughest Republican in the race when it comes to national security.

That shows how stupid Rudy the assmonkey is. We sure as hell don't need him on tour promoting a war.

8) [s] I say he shouldn't promote a war but he is also making sure the homeland is safe. I could be swayed either way

Pleased to meetcha, willbe. :)

I wonder how safe we are with Rudy out there making threats....

OK, so maybe that's a stretch. Still, it sort of makes him look like a wanna-be cowboy, IMO.

Hi willbe and welcome--IMo, Rudy is playing the only card he has--FEAR and 9/11--when asked if the US was safe because of the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan, 91% of the foreign policy experts asked said NO. So concern for the homeland is held by everyone, but not everyone is making it safer.

Rudy meets with Iraqis. IMO, this was not a good thing looks likie he is already the Repub nominee.

NEW YORK - Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani met privately Wednesday with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and indicated that he would keep a U.S. presence in Iraq for as long as necessary, campaign aides said.

The former New York mayor is one of the few GOP candidates who has never been to Iraq. Talabani, in New York for the U.N. General Assembly, provided what Giuliani aides described as an optimistic report about progress in the region during the meeting.

Giuliani, in turn, emphasized his support for a unified Iraq and indicated that he would keep a U.S. presence in that country for as long as necessary, aides said.

Rudy would promise to give him a BJ if he thought it would improve his chances.
