Candidates Vow To Revamp Health Care

Postby CHUQ on Sat Sep 22, 2007 4:08 am

What a pile of crap! I*t does not need revamping, it needs to be put in shit can and start over, only this time do it RIGHT!

DAVENPORT -- The Democratic presidential candidates at Thursday's AARP forum touted their plans to address rising health care costs and provide financial security to all Americans.

Each candidate hoped to convince voters -- and the more than 2,300 people attending the debate in the Adler Theatre -- that his or her proposal would benefit them the most.

U.S. Sens. Joe Biden of Delaware, Hillary Clinton of New York and Chris Dodd of Connecticut were there, as well as former U.S. Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson. U.S. Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois declined to participate.

I haven't seen any great plans yet. They are giving it lots of lip service though.

Only one is not a revamp or refporm of the current care for profit system. That is not where the solution lies. IMO

As you can see the only plan that makes sense is being put forth that makes sense is the one who is getting the least amout of support from corporate America? Special interest groups won't let reform go too far. IMO.

Clinton gets lots from the health care pros, so ask, would they let her do anything that would effect them adversely? NO!

Clinton is getting the most campaign contributions from the health care industry. It looks like they are jockeying for position already.

The only thing I can say about the health care thing thing, is these are the same people who vowed to stop the war. How has that worked out for us?
