What Paul Krugman writes about the excuses made by opponents of national health care is true. Moreover, the polls demonstrate that the overwhelming majority of Americans reject such excuses. We do not have a national health plan, not because Americans need further convincing, but rather because our Congressional representatives refuse to go mano a mano with the health insurance industry

To achieve national health care, we need to make our case, not to the American people, who are already convinced, but rather to the politicians, who continue to deny the people’s will because they are afraid of, or in bed with, the insurance industry.

I agree, but people don't care enough to do anything.

The good sign, IMO, is that boomers are getting to the point of no return and that could be the only saving grace, but they have to get involved.
