Bush's New Vet Plan

Congress has never delivered to Bush a veterans affairs spending bill by Veterans Day, even when Capitol Hill was run by Republicans.

So Bush is just trying to score political points by saying Congress is dragging their heels on the bill. :lol:

Sorry a guy like him or Cheney making a speech on Vets day just pisses me off.

See what I mean--here is the speech he made.

"In their sorrow, these families need to know, and families all across our nation of the fallen, need to know that your loved ones served a cause that is good and just and noble," Bush said.

If I wouldn't have known better, I didn't even see many headlines indicating it was Veteran's Day. It seems to be more of a 3 day weekend than an observance. IMO.
