I agree...before she slumped her veil was raised like a gust of wind hit it or the impact of a bullet. IMO, she was shot.

Found this on the death.

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Dec. 31 -- Pakistani authorities have pressured the medical personnel who tried to save Benazir Bhutto's life to remain silent about what happened in her final hour and have removed records of her treatment from the facility, according to doctors.

In interviews, doctors who were at Bhutto's side at Rawalpindi General Hospital said they were under extreme pressure not to share details about the nature of the injuries that the opposition leader suffered in an attack here Dec. 27.

"The government took all the medical records right after Ms. Bhutto's time of death was read out," said a visibly shaken doctor who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue. Sweating and putting his head in his hands, he said: "Look, we have been told by the government to stop talking. And a lot of us feel this is a disgrace."

The whole situation smells like a coverup. The bomb might have been for the purpose of destroying evidence also. IMO.

Conspiracy theories are everywhere.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - In Pakistan's Kafkaesque world, conspiracy theories are given far more credence than the official accounts of Benazir Bhutto's assassination.

"Our history is full of such assassinations and all have been done by invisible hands, agencies," said Aqueel-ur-Rehman, manager of a filling station in Peshawar.

"Thinking about anybody else would be foolish."

The killing managed to sidetrack the elections which is what seemed to be a goal from the beginning.

Looks like Musharaff is hoping the delay will quell some of the anger, which could be a good thing, because some radicals might have won and then the US would be facing another Hamas-like situation.

Musharaff and Bush claim AQ did it. Washington gves them more money to fight AQ . Bush gets to point his finger at AQ as a monster to be stopped at all cost in Iraq and elsewhere. and his puppet retains power.

A simple and effective plan. How about a new theory on her death.

LONDON — During the stormy years Benazir Bhutto ruled Pakistan, her husband was a top power broker and a prime target of corruption allegations that toppled her.

The assassination of the former prime minister has pushed her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, back into the heart of the storm. Their political party this week named Zardari to run its day-to-day affairs while appointing the couple's 19-year-old son to the ceremonial role of chairman.

Even though Zardari has said he will not run for parliament in upcoming elections, attention has focused once again on the corruption cases that have swirled around him at home and abroad and made him a polarizing figure even within the Pakistan People's Party.
