I am not saying that illegal immigrattion is right, just I would personally break the law too to assit my family. Hell when my grandfather was a young man and he was caught off the Rez, he was an illegal immigrant. Legally it is wrong, morally it is right.

That isn't always true, though. And for the most part, people come over because they want a BETTER job, or BETTER life. Send money to their country and go back. Most of my asian friends and hispanic friends are going through the same process. I know a Korean friend who was actually left here by his parents, on his own, at 16 years old, and they went back to Korea. I know other people in the same or similar situation. Thre are SOME immigrants that come ovr becausethy need a life. But from personal experience(because my parents are immingrants), many just come over because they want to make a bit more money than before, or because they want to get away from their country.

I think tri is right. Most of those coming to America want a better life. It's not like they are facing persecution, severe famine, or war. They're coming here to better themselves which is fine, but they should do it the legal way.

Is it morally right to break the law because of something you want?

I think I can sympathize with wanting to better yourself and get a piece of the dream. How can we make it easier? I haven't tried it, but I bet it's no easy task to go through all the hoops they require for naturalization.

It isn't. I'm going through it right now with my wife. She finally got word from the NVC. They asked her who she wants to be the agent for her case and she sent it back today and now it'll be up to six weeks for them to reply back with papers and such for her. Process started in February and they're just now to the part where they are asking her for documents. Life, at the speed of government. Rolling Eyes

Rupchuk,
Glad to hear things ARE moving along. I remember when you first started this process (over on PN). I know things are going at a snail's pace, and it must seem even slower since she's your wife and you are looking forward to having her here. But just think how far it's come since then, hang in there!
