(Council of Foreign Relations)
Yesterday we posted our 10 Questions on Iraq with Reza Aslan, and we decided to pose another 10 Questions (well, OK, 11), on Syria, to Steven Cook.

He's a fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, with expertise on Arab politics and U.S.-Middle East policy.

There is evidence of Saudi, Palestinians, Syrians, Egyptians, Jordanians, North Africans, Turks and others, and some of them are going through Damascus.

Well, it seems they can't contol their border any more than we can. Sort of like the stove calling the kettle black. Who are we to complain about other countries who have a border they can't control?

Agreed, but it gives the illusion of something being done to control the problem and that is what it is all about, not real solutions just the preception of success.
