These guys are betting on it and it helps people understand that the self-reliance programs are not meant to end our addiction, just help control it.

Motiva Enterprises made a huge bet Friday that America's appetite for gasoline will keep growing well into the future, giving final approval to a $7 billion expansion of its Port Arthur refinery that will make it the largest in the nation.

The decision came after more than three years of study by Motiva, a joint venture of Royal Dutch Shell and Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil company, and after a jolt in costs doubled the project's price tag.

WAKE THE F*CK UP! The government will not bite the hand that feeds it. If the US is to EVER break its addiction it will be because the ppl want it. Never fear, they are too busy with their little meaningless lives to do anything. So enjoy the ride!

With the declining dollar and oil prices on the rise I think we are going to be made more aware of the problem shortly. Laughing

You would think so, but I do not see too many having a prob with it for now. They will bitch, whine and pout, but they will pay the prices.

It's bound to have an impact on the economy if prices remain at this level. Can you imagine what the pice of oil will go to if we attack Iran? Oil at $100 a barrel will be a bargain.
